1. Introduction
Welcome to DoRoam. By purchasing our universal insurance credits, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Our insurance credits are community regulated and are not a replacement for legally required insurance products or services.
2. Policy Coverage
Our universal insurance credit provides comprehensive coverage across various aspects, including your health, assets and legal expenses. We provide a community regulated system where all claims must be voted on by fellow verified and insured community members with any non deciding instances been put to a panel of 3 admin/moderator members for a secret voting decision, (Admin/mods will be provided with necessary details to help vote. Admins/Mods are not permitted or allowed to vote otherwise.
3. Premium Payments
- Monthly Premium: The yearly premium for this insurance policy is £49.
- Payment Schedule: A minimum of 12 insurance credits top-ups yearly (no minimum or maximum limits). Failure to deposit 12 times a year may result in you losing your 10x benefits and could result in you losing out on self insurance for if anything should go wrong.
4. Eligibility for Pay-outs
- Minimum Service Period: Members must have purchased credits for a minimum of one year before they are eligible to request a pay-out. All claims must include receipts, crime reference numbers and associated evidence to support your claim, these can be provided in your forum post or privately with a moderator who will note they have viewed your evidence in your claims procedure.
- Pay-out Calculation: Pay-outs are calculated as 10x times the total amount of premiums paid and years of membership.
For example:
If you have paid £588 every year, and a member for 10 years your pay-out will be £58,800. (10x)
If you have paid £588 every year, and a member for 9 years your pay-out will be £47,628. (9x)
If you have paid £588 every year, and a member for 5 years your pay-out will be £14,700. (5x)
If you have paid £588 every year, and a member for 2 years your pay-out will be £2,352. (2x)
and so forth.
We have no restrictions on how much you deposit each year BUT you will lose your yearly membership claims bonus on every successful claim you make resetting back to 1st year (1x). - Annual Pay-out Limit: Our annual pay-out limit will be restricted to what is available within the community insurance pot, if we do not have the funds to cover your claim at the time of processing you will be given an option of your standard rate of/or what's currently in the community insurance pot. Members must be aware of this before claiming.
- Community Vote Process: Forum claim must be submitted with all details for the claim. If community votes green you will be processed, if red, you will need to try again.
5. Claims Process
- Submitting a Claim: To request a pay-out, members must submit a claim within the correspondent forum along with necessary documentation as specified in the claim form.
- Review and Approval: Claims will be reviewed and processed within 7 days from final community vote. Approved claims will be paid out within 28 days of approval or in most cases instantly.
6. Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal data. All information collected will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Termination and Cancellation
- Voluntary Cancellation: Members may cancel their policy at any time by providing written notice. No refunds will be issued for credits already purchased.
- Termination by Company: We reserve the right to terminate your policy if you fail to comply with these terms, including non-purchase of credits.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or related to this policy will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Association closest to us at the point of dispute. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding.
9. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Members will be notified of any changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
